Before
79 year old arthritic female, quietly managing hard skin across three main weight-bearing areas of her foot, known as "Tripod Callus."
My Approach
The client was assessed in her own home with care taken to achieve the best outcome for her needs. Tripod callus developed due to age, arthritis and her natural weight-bearing pattern.
Treatment & Ongoing Care
Using sterile instruments, I gently reduced the hard skin, leaving a thin protective layer — as removing it fully would cause discomfort when walking without insoles or padding. We agreed on regular visits to keep skin smooth and comfortable.
Follow Up
I reviewed the client at home to check progress. The treated area remained healthy with no return of thickened skin. Mobility is good with no issues. Care advice reinforced and next visit arranged.
